Despite many years of my back being destroyed by massive camera setups, I don’t have one for this photo. So here’s a nice flower in the mountains instead.

I’m a freelance documentary director with 8 years behind the camera and 3.5 years of formal training from the Danish School of Journalism as a Tilrettelægger, best translated as shooting documentary director (a title that sounds made up, but isn’t).

I specialize in commercial projects with a strong documentary backbone, where real stories matter and I get to do what I do best. Anyone can shoot glossy slow motion with a generic voice over. Fewer can build a narrative that actually makes people keep watching.

My heart belongs to long format documentaries and series, especially within action sports, where tension comes pre installed and storytelling practically begs to happen. During my time at Denmark’s national broadcaster, DR, I also gained extensive experience working with vulnerable people, including three months filming inside the trauma center at Rigshospitalet, documenting everything from head injuries to heart attacks (no retakes).

I thrive on projects that are physically and mentally demanding: covering far right voters for Støjbergs Stemmer, filming RANDONNEURS non stop for 46 hours, or filming dog sledding in minus 20 in Norway, while trying to remember why gloves are important.

I’m always looking for the next story worth telling.
Maybe it’s yours.
